So today I drop Carli off at school super excited to put it mildly. Carli was going to go on her first play date without me. This I believe has been the most anticipated event in her 4 years of life. As horrible as it sounds, this single handed event allowed for more bribery than any other happening, even Christmas. Carli was on her best behavior all weekend! She was determined to not let anything interfere with her chances of having her play date. I have to admit, it was bittersweet for me. Is my Carli really getting big enough for play dates without me? Please slow down time! Secretly, I kind of hoped she wouldn't want to do it again. Nope, not the case ... she had a blast! She even said she is going to go every Monday. Ok, so after I got over all that, I did relish in my 2 hours of free time while Gavin was napping!
Carli, my love, I am glad a friend was able to enjoy your sweet soul and your incredible imagination today. I am sure you made her heart smile as you make mine everyday!
