tennis lessons!

Tennis lessons for the girls. This is Lexi's third year of tennis and she is really doing well. Carli has just begun, she has only had a handful of lessons so far. Both girls love it! I am so proud of the girls for trying so hard and never giving up, even when it is hard for them at times.

School Picnic

Today was the Unity school picnic. The girls and I went. Gavin and poppa stayed home to nap. The girls had a great time and were worn out by the days end. Beautiful weather, lots of great friends, and lots of ways to get energy out ... what more could you ask for?!

Gavin and his golf clubs

Ok, so here is the story, I totally traumatized Gavin! Gavin received golf clubs for Christmas, for two days he cried and cried when he couldn't quite figure out how to work the toy. So when he went to bed on the second night, I figured I could no longer torture myself and the rest of the family and I would hide them for a few months until he got bigger. Of course, the next morning he asked for them as soon as he got up, cried for a bit but eventually got over it, that's the good thing, the bad thing, he moved onto to the golf balls that were stuck to the coffee table in the sitting room! He obsessed and cried about these on and off for about 2 weeks. So I once again gave in to my child and pulled the golf club set back out. While this time, Gavin was not letting them go ... he literally went everywhere with them for a week.

some mommy time

Today Gavin and I passed the time playing at the park and walking the intercostal bridge while big sisters were in art class. Gavin loves his mommy time!

strawberry picking

Today we hit the strawberry patch. Mema and Caitlin joined us and the kids were excited about this of course. Not sure how many pounds of strawberries we picked, but it was a lot! I would also add Gavin probably ate a pound or two as well. I love how Gavin is so random ... forget about eating strawberries when they are home and washed, he only eats them straight from the patch all dirty and gross. So between our 18 pounds of strawberries, Gavin's digestion of dirt and grid and Carli's red ant (yes red ant not ants, though you wouldn't believe it if you would have heard her) it was a great day! These kinds of days are what family is all about!
