dance recital

The girls had their big day today.  They work all year for the one big dance recital.  They were so happy and so proud to have everybody come watch them.  On Saturday was the rehearsal (a few photos are here) and Sunday the big show.  Lexi was a little nervous on the rehearsal, mixed up her two songs, but on the actual recital day, she did AWESOME.  I am so proud of the two of them.  They really showed commitment through out the year.  I love my girls

Yay we graduated ... we must have a PARTY!

Only have a few pictures from the graduation party, the kids were everywhere and I had to man Gavin away from the pool all night.  The class was so excited to be heading off to first grade.  We had to send them off in style, with a party of course!

Summer 2012 kickoff ... a lemonade stand

How else would you kick off the summer! The girls have been asking for a lemonade stand for 2 weeks.  I convinced them to wait until school was out.  Perfect timing, as Target had all the supplies we needed.  The lemonade stand was a definitely a hit in the neighborhood.  Tutu and Adam "green machine" even stopped by.  Carli was the collector, letting nobody get by without paying.  Lexi was the deliverer.  Gavin, well he was more interested in poppa's convertible.  Our summer is sure off to a good start!

Graduation time big girl!

My dearest graduate, today was a special day! I woke up not really knowing how I felt ... I know you felt happy, excited, joyful all that you are most mornings, but even more so today. Your personality is contagious of course, and soon I find myself sharing your same joy and excitement! Today my "big" girl, you walked across the stage ... you graduated from kindergarten! To you it was the symbolization of an awesome year, a year of fun, a year of laughs and some learning. You so proudly accepted your award of earth keeper, which so matter of fact describes you. To me it was so much more ... a year of excitement, tears, anxiety and love. It was a flashback of the past 6 years! Could you really be graduating from kindergarten? No, I just gave birth to you, then I quickly realized I actually had 2 more and time has really passed. I just wanted to hug you and stop time, but I can't, so I will let you go, let you conquer the world in the way a 6 year old does and know that nothing will ever stop you! So on this day of graduation from kindergarten, I wish you this same strong will, desire for adventure, love of learning and kindness towards others in 18 years on your day of graduation from high school, from college and wherever life takes you. I will always be right by your side and cheering you on. The world will shine brighter with your light! Your biggest fan today and always, love momma!!

Dance awards

Here we are a week before the big recital.  The girls had a dress rehearsal at the dance studio followed by awards.  They are so proud to be ready for the big recital next week.  I love my dancing princesses!

Gavin invited Liam over for a play date today.  Typically Gavin and Liam have this love/yelling relationship ... today they took a time out for a hug.
